  • Measuring Distances

    Distance distribution between paramagnetic centers in the range from 2 – 8 nm can be measured by the DEER (Double Electron-Electron Resonance) technique. The number of paramagnetic centers and their relative orientation can be characterized. With our EPR100, DEER distance measurement experiment is achievable in studying the structure of protein, DNA, and other materials with paramagnetic centers.

  • Detection of temperature, magnetic field and action potential of living cells

    Using diamond nanoparticles containing NV center to track living cells can realize local temperature measurement at the nanoscale, to monitor local temperature changes of cancer cells in vivo and feedback their physiological state. NV center is used to detect the action potential of single neurons of worms, which lays a foundation for the application of this technology in the field of neuroscience.
